Mission Statement
I will lose 10 lbs by Tuesday, September 12, 2006 which is exactly 10 weeks from today.
With lots of hard work and full support from my fiancé, I think this is workable. I have calculated the numbers and in order for me to reach my goal. I will need to lose at least 1 lb per week. Or lose 10 lbs on the 10th week.
I’m a bit hesitant on starting today. For Syama’s birthday, we enjoyed a feast in her honour. The lunch included many creamy ingredients and cake and I ate for three. However, knowing that I have eaten more than I should have, this will only motivate me to start taking time out this afternoon to work out.
Losing 1 lb shouldn’t be too bad but maintaining the loss is another thing especially when I have not been exercising daily.
It has been a couple of weeks since I’ve danced. Lessons will not begin until September. And it has been weeks since I last played court volleyball. Court volleyball was a good source of exercise for me– it kept my heart pumping and it was loads of fun. Plus, flirting with Brent kept the blood circulating. Actually, make that a big plus. Yes, we have been playing beach volleyball this summer, but it's not the same.
I miss dance and volleyball. I can’t wait until we start again this fall. Having that said, I am confident that in a couple of months, I will continue my previous exercise regime. Until then, I need to move it, move it.
So, this afternoon I will do at least 30 minutes of cardio followed by some muscle strengthening. Which reminds me, I need to follow-up on those leg exercises. Brent makes me weak in the knees.
I will post my progress in future posts. If you haven’t heard anything, mission aborted.
