Happy Halloween (again)!

I wanted to write a separate post because I simply can and you can’t stop me.

On Sunday, Brent and I went over to one of my friend’s place to carve pumpkins together. I carved a ‘pirate skull w/out nose’ pumpkin, and Brent carved a ‘funny face that goes walalalalala’ pumpkin. Awesome.

And last night, we went to the PNE Fright Nights and had a blast! It was freezing cold but that was okay. It brought out Brent’s affectionate side.

We visited four haunted houses out of six, and went on a Pirate Ship ride. So much fun! And freaky scary. I screamed a lot and Brent was okay with that. He was soooo okay with it that most times, he laughed at me.

Anyway, I just want to let everybody know that so far, this has been the best Halloween ever. On top of pumpkin mania and freaky night, Brent and I are going to the Canucks game tonight! We’ll be sitting behind the goalie on the 12th row. I don’t know how much these tickets cost because they are free!!

One heck of a Fright Night!!!

Well hello all,

So Bless and I went down to Fright Night last night and had a blast. I don't really have much else to say about it other than if you ever thought that haunted houses were silly and/or boring, then you have never gone through one with Bless.

Here's how it went:

The night was cold and clear, the moom bright in the star filled sky as we crept slowly closer to the door of the house. Screams could be heard from within, but still we proceeded. As we neared the entrance to the dark abode, Bless whispered in my ear.

"You go first."

"Okay," I said and took her hand. We stepped into darkness.

And what came next was truly scary. Lights flashing, making movement seem surreal, we walked forward. From our left out jumped a ghoul! Bless screamed. I laughed, Bless screamed more and grabbed my arm.

Continuing on our way, the screaming stopped. But then a hand reached our for Bless's ankle!

She screamed again, I pulled her away (laughing) and she could barely breathe. Into the darkness we proceeded, lost now in the maze of turns. Then, up ahead, I saw a cloaked figure as it growled at the group ahead of us.

"Oh this guys gonna scare you," I said as the figure turned to us.

It lunged forward with a snarl!

Bless screamed "I don't like it! I don't like it!" and broke into a run.

I tried to follow, but those scared little legs were too fast and the last I heard from her was a distant, "Brent, I don't like it!!!"

I still haven't heard from her so I hope she got home okay. Please let me know if you've seen her.

Thank you.

*** The above story, while based on actual events, may not have ended the way I wrote it ***

Happy Halloween!

I dressed up as the girl from “The Grudge” and freaked out a lot of people at work. It was loads of fun! This morning, I hid in one of my co-workers office and waited for her to come in. She was a few minutes late to work, but it was worth the wait. She screamed when she saw me standing in the corner.

I did not win anything today.

First Place: werewolf
Second Place: bubble gum under a shoe
Third Place: beat-up boxer

Apparently, it was a toss-up between myself and the boxer but the person in charge of the contest never heard of “The Grudge”.

That’s okay. Extra cash would have been awesome but freaking out my co-workers was hilarious. I crept up to so many people today. The best was when I waited for my co-worker in her office. Her reaction was priceless. I also received reactions when I stood at the end of the hallway and waited for someone to turn the corner. Oh, elevators are great too. And washrooms... crazy stuff.

I must have been really good, so good that when I took my make-up out, one of my co-workers seriously asked if I was going to keep my make-up on the whole day. Why I oughta...

I think I’m going to pay her a visit tonight...

Halloween Countdown

Tomorrow is Halloween! So exciting… or stressful???

Last year, I won Best Halloween costume at work and pocketed $300 cash.

Today, at least 10 people asked me what I am going to be this year. One co-worker just told me that she can’t wait to come to work tomorrow to see my costume. I mumbled, 'so much pressure' and she added, "I’m sure you’ll have the best costume, you’re so creative!" Grrr....

So much pressure!!

"What are you going to be? I'm sure it'll be so good."
"Oh I can't wait to see your costume."
"You're going to win Bless."
"You're so creative."
"I can't wait to see you."
"Oh you're number one."
"Can I have your autograph?"

Grrrr!!!! How it hurts to be good! Sometimes, I wish I was ordinary....

Brent, where and how did you find me?

Dragonness

I love dreaming. I dream almost every day and I remember them about 95% of the time. I used to keep a dream journal where I would jot down all of my dreams but as of late, I’ve been too lazy to keep up with it.

Last night, I dreamt that I was in a barren field surrounded by mountains. As I looked around me, I realized that I had dragon wings! It was so awesome -- it felt so real. I felt the heaviness of my wings when they moved and enjoyed the incredible sounds that they made. My wings were massive and covered by vibrant colours of red and oranges with a touch of green and blue.

In my dream, I was learning how to fly. As I shifted my shoulder blades, my wings began to spread and next thing I knew, I was 3 feet above the ground. I struggled to stay in the air. Each time I rose 5 feet, I would drop 2 feet.

I didn’t have much room to take flight; the mountains surrounding me made it difficult to fly. It was frustrating yet exhilarating at the same time. I couldn't wait to fly. After a few minutes like this, I finally learned and as I rose atop the mountains, I woke up.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed my dream. It is the first time I have ever dreamt about having wings. It's too bad that Brent wasn’t there, he would have loved being a dragon. He must have been busy fighting off the storm troopers.

Ten Months

Yay! 10 more months and I'll be able to say, "Brent, let's watch something on our entertainment system."

As much as I want to describe you my most current 'Bridal Attacks', I think I will take a break and talk about something else. Planning our wedding isn’t my life you know!

Anyway, the other night, Brent and I went to a fabric store. It was closing out and having excellent sales, so we thought, why not?

It was awesome! We got there just before closing time. While the cashier lady was busy shoo-ing away her customers, we found what we were looking for! I’d let you know what we got but then I would be talking about wedding stuff… *cough* *cough*

Anyhow, I am soooo happy that I am in the verge of freaking out.

In case you don’t know me, that’s what I like to do… be happy.
